MacKenzie Lynn Barron

It was an incredible privilege to serve and capture moments from the Benefit for Mackenzie Barron-DIPG Warrior Princess. On June 22, 2018, Mackenzie Lynn Barron, 3 years old, of Indian Land, South Carolina USA was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG.) Medical advances in the past 40 years have greatly improved the survival rates for children diagnosed with most types of cancer but these medical advances have done nothing for children with DIPG. Brain tumours remain the most common cause of cancer-related death in children, and DIPG is the leading cause of death from pediatric brain tumours.

Philanthropy & Photography

Together philanthropy & photography has become a passion and desire for me and I welcome the opportunity to serve. I have been amazed at the simple act of creating a beautiful memory for someone provides so much in return. I personally support finding a cure for cancer and promoting the character and attitude of pro-life. There is nothing greater than to share my love of photography to make a difference for everyone, somehow, somewhere.

Darren Bowen Photography

My photography captures a moment in time - a split-second that remains locked in time often abstracted and completely random. It is in these moments I see potential element, shape, abstraction, and life in colour, inspiration before the moment fades to grey into the past disappearing forever.
